Barangay Las-ud is geographically situated along the National Highway and it is about a kilometer to the town proper. It is within the vicinity of rice fields, farmlands, river, and the sea, which in turn serves as the lifeblood of the community. Barangay Las-ud has a native dialect known as Ilocano. The main religion of the community is the Roman Catholic. It has paved everybody’s commitment to God that is manifested with its deep religiosity. During the older times, this Barangay is center of business; people from different towns sell their products.Ditoy nga Barangay Pagi Lasudan daguiti komersyante ti madumadoma nga produkto da, so the origin of Las-ud is las-udan, since then this Barangay was called Las-ud.
